Cinemacity (2013)

Cinemacity was part cinema experiment, part participatory film project.

The film was inspired by an open call for short written scenes drawing on peoples personal, serendipitous and cinematic experiences.

The premiere at AND 2013 offered a second layer of participation by posing a question to the viewer: what if the film you are watching right now allowed your instant participation?

By allowing every smartphone owner to become a co-writer instantaneously, Cinemacity was a live and audience-driven piece of film-making, reflecting the complex cultural networks from which contemporary cinema emerges.
