Master-Slave Invigilator System \ Jeremy Bailey (2012)
30 August -01 September 2012
Using the master/slave model of communication, where one device or process has unidirectional control over one or more devices, famous new media artist Jeremy Bailey’s Master/Slave Invigilator System demonstrated technology that allowed him to be everywhere at once.
This new and innovative system for augmented identity and distributed presence allowed Jeremy to invigilate the entirety of AND Festival 2012 (and beyond) from the safety of a protected control cockpit in Manchester.
Jeremy’s slaves also combined forces with trixxie carr and company at The Right to Rule.
Commissioned by FACT, Liverpool and supported by Canada Council for the Arts. Produced for Abandon Normal Devices.
